Job Title: Legal Assistant - Antitrust

Job Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of attorneys and the direction of the Manager of Legal Assistants, the Legal Assistant in the Antitrust department will provide essential support to the law firm's clients and case teams. The role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering legal services to clients. The responsibilities will vary depending on the section and practice group assigned. The legal assistant may also collaborate with other personnel within the firm to ensure the delivery of comprehensive legal services. Key duties include:

- Assisting other legal teams on an as-needed basis.
- Developing a thorough understanding of civil litigation mechanics, including pleadings and discovery tools, through virtual and in-person training sessions and on-the-job experience.
- Conducting legal and factual research using library, online, and external resources.
- Participating in and preparing documents for production.
- Maintaining and indexing case files.
- Preparing materials for depositions, witness interviews, and more.
- Summarizing and digesting transcripts.
- Preparing exhibits for pleadings, trials, and hearings.
- Cite checking and shepardizing legal memoranda, briefs, articles, opinions, etc., and creating Tables of Authorities and Contents.
- Preparing pleadings and supporting materials for filing or service.
- Creating electronic and hard copies of trial books and case binders.
- Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Arranging for court reporters, interpreters, and conference rooms.
- Creating charts, graphs, and tables for data analysis and synthesis.
- Utilizing firm resources to accomplish the above tasks.
- Preparing accurate and timely daily time entries and records for services performed.
- Utilizing e-discovery software programs and other spreadsheet and database programs as needed for client projects.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate will possess:

- A four-year college degree with a minimum . of .
- A strong academic background.
- Clear and concise writing skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Related work and/or internship experience.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and long hours.
- Basic knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity and competency with technology.
- Ability to follow through on projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues in other internal departments such as Office Services, Practice Technology, Global Technology Services, Research & Information Services, Operations, Practice Assistants, and Document Services.
- Excellent professional and personal references.
- Excellent judgment.
- High ethical standards.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Foreign language skills are a plus, especially Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese-Mandarin.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position in the Washington . market is between 58,000 and 65,000 US Dollars (USD) annually. Salary ranges in other markets may vary.
