Job Title: PIP Paralegal/Legal Secretary – P/T or F/T
Job Responsibilities:
The PIP Paralegal/Legal Secretary will be responsible for managing all facets of PIP Arbitration files and litigation. This includes the filing of post-treatment appeals for medical providers and handling PIP Arbitrations through Forthright. The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of all pertinent New Jersey PIP laws and rules. Additional responsibilities involve handling telephone communications, managing incoming and outgoing mail and email, scheduling and managing calendars, conducting initial client intake, preparing legal documents and correspondence, performing E-Court filings, and scanning and preparing documents. The role may also involve managing overflow work related to personal injury, worker’s compensation, real estate, matrimonial, criminal defense, municipal court, wills and estates, and transactional matters.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working specifically in PIP Arbitration. While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is considered a bonus, it is not a mandatory requirement. The candidate must exhibit strong organizational, communication, and case management skills. The position is full-time, requiring in-person attendance at the office from Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, part-time arrangements may be considered as agreed upon.
Salary Information:
The salary for this position ranges from to per hour, with the exact rate being commensurate with the candidate’s experience. The median pay is approximately per hour. For full-time employees, benefits include paid time off, although medical benefits are not offered.
