Job Title: Tax Senior Manager, Privately Held Businesses
Job Responsibilities:
1. Lead Client Engagements:
- Manage client tasks and expectations.
- Ensure client satisfaction and lead efficiency improvements across multiple engagements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the year.
2. Team Leadership:
- Collaborate with engagement teams to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Exceed client expectations by fostering a strong partnership with internal engagement teams.
3. Client Management & Consulting:
- Provide innovative tax planning and compliance expertise.
- Advise on tax structures, buy/sell side planning, and reporting, as well as tax-saving strategies for an acquisitive-focused client base.
- Offer proactive, forward-thinking solutions to meet client needs.
4. Business Development & Practice Growth:
- Work closely with Partners to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support ongoing practice development efforts.
5. Cross-Functional Support:
- Contribute to firm-wide projects and responsibilities.
- Work closely with various teams to ensure the success of core Private Client Services tax functions.
Education and Experience Information:
- Required Bachelor's Degree.
- CPA or JD required.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm.
- Knowledge and previous experience working within Private Client Services taxation including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Tax research.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong external and internal communication skills are required due to the client-facing role.
- Understanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, etc. is required.
- Initiative to learn, ask questions, operate in a fast-paced environment, challenge the status quo, develop strong relationships internally, and flexibility are keys to success.
Salary Information:
- Estimated Salary Range: $110,000 - $210,000.
- Salaries are determined based on factors such as the candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
