Job Title: Manager, M&A Tax
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a comprehensive range of corporate tax services, including planning, research, and other mergers and acquisitions activities.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, while effectively communicating findings and opportunities to clients.
- Collaborate with and assist senior members of the M&A Tax practice on various technical tax issues dealing with consolidated returns, S Corps, partnerships, LLCs, and LLPs.
- Aid clients with current issues such as bankruptcy emergence planning, out-of-court workouts, debt restructurings, tax basis, earning and profits, and section 382 studies.
- Develop, motivate, and train staff-level team members.
- Uphold a work environment characterized by integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility, adhering to the respectful and courteous culture of the company.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of five years of recent experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions within a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, or other credentials approved by the company. If an individual does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials upon commencement of employment, they have one year from their hire date to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials. A complete list of approved designations/credentials can be provided by the recruiter.
- Comprehensive knowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters across various industries.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and client service teams.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
