Job Title: Tax Director - Private Companies

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Director within the private companies sector, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties aimed at providing comprehensive business advisory services. You will guide private companies through various phases of their business lifecycle, from inception to growth, maturity, and transition. Your core responsibilities will include:

- Supporting teams to innovate and improve work processes.
- Arranging and sponsoring assignments that help individuals realize their potential and support their long-term career aspirations.
- Identifying market gaps and spotting opportunities to create value propositions.
- Scaling efficiencies and exploring new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.

- Meeting the unique needs of private companies and their owners through a practical and holistic approach.

- Leveraging technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights to address client needs.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years

Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assisting companies to understand and assess the tax impact of business operations and transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience within a global network of professional services firms, law firms, or corporate tax departments of multinational companies.
- Deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Technical prowess with ASC740.
- Ability to identify and address client needs, develop and sustain client relationships.
- Skilled in networking, negotiation, and persuasion to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Proficient in preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials.
- Capable of defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Experienced in leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction, and motivate members.
- Ability to create a trusting environment, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the position of Tax Director - Private Companies is $140,900 - $434,000. Additionally, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
