Job Title: Emergency Response Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Emergency Response Manager is responsible for ensuring a swift, organized, and effective response to immigration crises in Florida. This involves managing and coordinating the rapid response work of the Florida Rapid Response Alliance for Immigrant Safety and Empowerment (RAISE), a coalition aimed at protecting immigrant communities from increased immigration enforcement.
Key Duties include:
- Leading and overseeing the work of the RAISE coalition’s committees, which include Program, Communications, Fundraising, and Resources.
- Coordinating rapid response work through the Rapid Response Hotline and the AI Justice Detention/Removal Defense Hotline.
- Managing responses to federal and state immigration enforcement actions, such as immigration raids, detention, and deportation efforts.
- Acting as the primary point of ,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes excellent health, vision, dental, and life insurance coverage; 15 paid days of vacation leave; 13 paid holidays; 10 paid health days; and 1 personal day. Additional benefits include a TriRail discount commuter benefit and a $50/month cell phone stipend to offset communication expenses. After one year of employment, staff are entitled to paid parental leave and up to a 3% matching employer contribution to a 403(b) retirement plan, with increased eligibility thereafter.

Level of Language Proficiency:

Location:
The position is based in South Florida, covering areas such as Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier, and Lee Counties. It is eligible for work from home, hybrid, or in-office designation in accordance with the organization’s Job Classification Policy. Various in-person requirements will occur throughout the year.
