Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Manager
Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within the Corporate Tax services at the company offers the opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. As a Manager in this field, you will:
- Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant in areas such as business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners.
- Help organizations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, and provide advice on tax implications of deals.
- Navigate the frequently changing and complex national and international tax environment for Financial Services clients, focusing on stringent capital requirements, management of operational tax risks, and tax implications of investing in different jurisdictions.
- Assist clients with their tax structuring to address challenges in the continuously changing tax world, both locally and globally.
- Work as part of a team of problem solvers to tackle complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Develop new skills and act to resolve issues preventing effective team performance.
- Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage ownership of personal development.
- Analyze complex ideas or proposals to build a range of meaningful recommendations.
- Use multiple sources of information, including stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.
- Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm/client expectations.
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
- Develop a point of view on key global trends and their impact on clients.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead as technology-enabled tax advisors who provide value through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies.
- Provide unparalleled technical knowledge and specialization and industry insights.
- Demonstrate success as a tax technical business advisor, develop new relationships, and sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Innovate through new and existing technologies, experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Work with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools for client insights.
- Utilize digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 4 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Considerable knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities.
- Comprehensive technical skills, including providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors.
- Considerable experience identifying and addressing client needs, managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections.
- Experience as a team leader, supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust, and coaching staff with timely feedback.
- Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The listed salary range is for roles based in Maryland. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
