Job Responsibilities:
The Tax + Benefits Associate will be a part of the law firm's Tax Practice subgroup within the Tax & Benefits practice group, focusing primarily on transactional tax matters related to the energy industry. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging in firm-wide interaction and maintaining client contact to deliver high-quality tax-related legal services.
- Drafting partnership agreements and tax opinions to support transactions within the energy sector.
- Collaborating with team members across various locations to provide comprehensive tax advice and solutions.
- Contributing to the development of the Tax & Benefits group by participating in professional organizations and engaging in speaking and writing opportunities to enhance the law firm's reputation and expertise in the field.

Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates should possess strong academic credentials, demonstrating a solid foundation in legal education.
- Experience in a transactional tax practice with a specific focus on the energy industry is required.
- Prior experience in drafting partnership agreements and tax opinions is particularly beneficial.
- While law firm experience is preferred, candidates with experience from large accounting firms will also be considered.
- Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the state where they practice law.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Tax + Benefits Associate position is between $305,000 and $380,000, depending on the candidate's relevant years of experience.
