Job Title: West Coast Calendar Senior Staff Attorney

Job Responsibilities:
- Advise litigation attorneys and staff on federal and state court procedural issues.
- Review court filings and litigation documents for compliance with applicable rules.
- Verify calculation of procedural deadlines and monitor entry of dates using the firm's calendar software.
- Act as a resource for questions regarding civil procedure and case management in California, Washington, Oregon, and other states.
- Provide guidance on procedural strategies and respond to questions about court calendaring, civil and criminal procedure, and individual judge's rules in state and federal cases.
- Monitor paper and electronic service and filing of all court-related documents.
- Assist with and oversee the entry of litigation deadlines into Compulaw, the . calendaring software.
- Conduct research on court rules, civil procedure, and case histories as needed.
- Prepare correspondence to court personnel and/or outside services for court filings.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys and the courts.
- Assist with applications for various court bar memberships and coordinate payment of filing fees, bar dues, and association memberships.
- Collaborate with other managers in the Court Services Department and with CaseStream, the Service Center, and Research & Information, among others.

Education and Experience Information:
- JD Degree and active admission to practice law in California, Oregon, or Washington State.
- Minimum of three years of prior similar related experience.
- Judicial Clerkship or prior Managing Attorney experience is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of California state and federal court procedure.
- Familiarity with Aderant-Compulaw or compatible calendaring software is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize a high-volume workload and effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure and conflicting circumstances.
- Previous management experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage change within a dynamic and progressive organization while maintaining a commitment to the firm's core values.

Salary Information:
- The expected salary range for this position is:
- California Major Markets*: $139,000 - $241,000
- National: $129,000 - $211,000
- California Major Markets include San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within the National range.
- The level of pay within the range will depend on various job-related factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, education, particular skills or expertise, and geography.
- Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, determined by firm and individual performance.
