Job Title: Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- The Associate Attorney will engage in a comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to the filing of the action, which includes examining loan documents, financials, and demand letters.
- Drafting and reviewing pleadings and correspondence to initiate legal actions is a key responsibility.
- The role requires attending court hearings and effectively communicating with opposing counsel.
- The candidate must ensure that all internal systems are updated to reflect findings, documentation, and recommendations.
- A high degree of confidentiality and professionalism must be exercised at all times.
- The attorney must safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable.
Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree.
- Bar membership in South Carolina is required.
- Prior experience in foreclosure or title is preferred.
- Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control are strongly preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The candidate should possess intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication through both verbal and written electronic correspondence.
- The ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations is critical.
- Meticulous analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.
- The ability to work independently is required.
Salary Information:
- Compensation for the Associate Attorney position will be commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package.
