Introduction:
**Members Only**, a full-service law firm with more than 350 lawyers and technical professionals, is seeking a Government Procurement Partner to join our growing team. We work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, providing exceptional legal services and business acumen. We are looking for a Partner with at least 10 years of experience in government procurement and a book of a minimum of $400k in portable business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced attorney to lead and grow our Government Procurement Practice.
About the Position:
As a Government Procurement Partner, you will have the opportunity to guide emerging and established businesses through the government procurement process. You will provide strategic and tactical advice to navigate the complex statutory and regulatory challenges of contracting with government customers. This role requires a strong background in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFARS (Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement) issues, as well as experience with bid protests, ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) issues, trade and customs issues, and review and negotiation of procurement contracts. The successful candidate will also have strong business development skills and the ability to lead and grow the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and tactical advice to clients navigating the government procurement process
- Assist clients with complex operations in handling issues related to federal, state, and municipal contracts
- Review and negotiate procurement contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and grant proposals
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels of the firm
- Lead and grow the Government Procurement Practice
Requirements:
- . from an ABA accredited law school
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in government procurement and commercial contracting
- Excellent academic credentials
- Valid license to practice law in the jurisdiction where this position will be located
