Job Title: E-Billing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The E-Billing Specialist is an integral part of the Accounting Department at a law firm, with a primary focus on processing client bills and responding to billing inquiries. This role involves assisting in the monitoring and follow-up of related billing functions to ensure smooth operations and compliance with firm and client billing guidelines. Key responsibilities include:

- Submitting invoices through the e-billing system and documenting progress within internal systems such as eHub and eBilling Tracker.
- Reviewing newly opened client matters for assigned attorneys to determine their availability through e-billing websites.
- Monitoring e-billing systems daily to check for new invoices and rejections, and reviewing daily reports for new timekeepers that may require submission for approval.
- Ensuring successful submissions of e-billed clients and assisting with resolving any rejections.
- Assisting attorneys, Client Service Specialists, and clients with day-to-day e-billing questions and concerns.
- Verifying that client setup, rates, and billing requirements are correct in the eBilling system.
- Submitting rate requests to related vendor sites as needed.
- Providing updates regarding invoice status to Client Billing Managers and Billing Supervisors/Director of Billing.
- Submitting monthly/quarterly accruals as required.
- Working closely with supervisors and managers to resolve any e-billing or client e-billing issues.

Additional responsibilities may include other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
The preferred educational qualification for the E-Billing Specialist position is a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Management, or a related field. However, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience requirements include a minimum of five years of e-billing experience in a law firm or other professional services organization, with a preference for candidates having law firm experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Proficiency in using various vendor websites and the BillBlast system for electronic billing.
- Previous experience with 3E or Elite accounting systems is strongly preferred.
