A law firm seeks a Senior Construction Litigation Associate to join their team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in construction law, specializing in large, complex cases involving arbitration and litigation. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile projects and work independently while representing clients in diverse construction-related matters, including offshore wind, power/energy, infrastructure, and large commercial development projects.

Duties:

  • Represent project owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals across various stages of construction projects.
  • Advise clients on contract formation, negotiations, and project counseling.
  • Investigate potential claims and develop defense strategies, managing claims and disputes in mediation, arbitration (domestic and international), and court (state/federal).
  • Independently manage significant cases, interacting with clients and providing strategic legal counsel.
  • Handle complex construction disputes, particularly in offshore wind, energy, infrastructure, and commercial development sectors.

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to the bar in Massachusetts; additional bar memberships in Connecticut, New York, or Rhode Island are preferred.
  • At least five years of substantial experience in construction law, particularly with large and complex projects.
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction litigation and arbitration.
  • Strong skills in legal analysis, writing, and communication.
  • Ability to work independently and handle cases with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to legal problem-solving.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in Massachusetts; additional certifications in Connecticut, New York, or Rhode Island are a plus.
