Job Title: Casualty Claim Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct handling of primary and excess Casualty claims, particularly those involving emerging risks, potential long-term exposure, or significant coverage issues.
- Utilize strong technical knowledge and legal insights to manage claim files with high accuracy and responsiveness, ensuring a high degree of customer service.
- Analyze liability, damage, and coverage issues to develop successful litigation and resolution strategies.
- Establish appropriate reserves on files and identify potential large losses in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external business partners to elevate and address significant claims.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an insurance-related technical claims position, with an emphasis on addressing coverage issues related to long-term exposure and/or emerging risk issues.
- Juris Doctorate is required, with prior experience in an insurance carrier preferred.
- Additional insurance-related professional designations or education, such as CPCU, IIA, and SCLA, are considered a plus.
- Excellent writing, analytical, presentation, and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to establish close working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Some travel may be required for this position.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for the Casualty Claim Counsel position is between $110,000 and $185,000.
- Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the cost of living associated with the work location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
