Job Title: Bond Representative

Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with principals, obligees, claimants, underwriters, and others to investigate, analyze, and reach sound, well-documented conclusions regarding surety products, fulfilling obligations as appropriate. Frequent interaction with opposing legal counsel is expected.
- Review various claim-related documents, including proofs of loss and supporting/competing documentation.
- Investigate, analyze, and document a variety of commercial and contract claims of varying complexity, including creating, sending, and filing all required forms and necessary letters, documents, spreadsheets, and management reports.
- Conduct extensive review of contracts, related contract documents, bond forms, and case law as required by any given claim or project.
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to surety products.
- Collaborate with team members on claim files and other projects.
- Assist with assigned projects, which may include document creation, internet research, file maintenance, and special projects.
- Identify and pursue salvage opportunities.
- Select and amend form documents as needed to meet bond obligations.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in surety claims or equivalent experience in litigation matters within a legal environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential for working within a dedicated, supportive team.
- Strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize competing requirements successfully.
- Ability to build successful business relationships with brokers, accounts, and members of the home office and field organization.

Additional Information:
- Licensing Requirements: Within 6 months of hire, candidates must obtain and maintain an Adjuster’s license for either Florida, Texas, or Washington, and possibly other jurisdictions to handle insurance claims throughout the United States.
- Travel for this position would rarely exceed 10-15%, depending on business needs.
- This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates near an office location will work in an office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Remote candidates will come into an office as business needs arise.

Salary Information:
- The annualized base pay range is $71,600 - $107,400. Actual base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is part of the total compensation package, which may include bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
