Position Summary:
- Join Cooley's Marketing & Business Development team as an Associate Creative Director
- Work closely with the Director of Brand Experience to develop and enhance Cooley's global brand
- Responsible for ideation and execution of creative concepts for firm initiatives
- Provide art direction and mentorship to in-house design staff
- Manage relationships with outside branding, design, and production agencies
- Act as a primary champion of the Cooley brand and inspire internal clients with its potential
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop creative concepts to express Cooley's brand as an extension of strategy
- Establish and maintain brand standards and propose enhancements to the brand center
- Work closely with internal clients to understand campaign and project needs
- Lead development of branded materials across various media, ensuring visual interest and usability
- Develop and maintain design processes and service level agreements
- Monitor ongoing projects and adjust resourcing as needed
- Manage and mentor in-house creative personnel for efficient operations and professional growth
- Advise on the need for external creative resources and maintain relationships with vendors
- Monitor and suggest new approaches to ensure Cooley's brand stands out in the market
- Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports
- Provide day-to-day supervision and compliance with firm and department policies
- Support business professional development and educational opportunities
- Participate in hiring, performance appraisals, and other employee lifecycle events
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in design or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience
- Thorough working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, HTML/CSS
- Experience managing and motivating design teams
- Advanced understanding of branding, design, copywriting, and video production principles
- Ability to work with little direction in a highly collaborative environment
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
