Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal is tasked with a variety of duties to support their assigned attorney effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting investigations and research to gather facts essential for case preparation.
- Managing case files accurately and ensuring timely communication with clients and attorneys.
- Obtaining, reviewing, and organizing medical records relevant to cases.
- Investigating insurance coverage and preparing detailed damage summaries, which include medical expenses, lost wages, and property damage.
- Logging daily mail and preparing medical records for forwarding to insurance carriers.
- Drafting necessary correspondence for effective case management.
- Verifying balances and assisting with the resolution of subrogation liens.
- Preparing check requests, maintaining records of checks, and mailing them as necessary.
- Assisting attorneys with the preparation of settlement documentation and handling disbursements.
- Preparing summaries of disbursements.
- Maintaining consistent and regular communication with clients to update them on case status.
- Participating in weekly reports and monthly team meetings.
- Providing support to other team members in their absence and striving to meet or exceed set goals.
- Maintaining regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
