Job Title: Insurance Coverage Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm located in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its expanding Insurance Coverage practice group. This role involves representing clients in a variety of coverage disputes, including comprehensive general liability, directors and officers (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), employment practices liability (EPL), and commercial property and casualty. The position offers a hybrid work environment, promoting a balance between remote and in-office work.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in coverage disputes across various insurance lines, ensuring thorough analysis of policy terms and legal precedents.
  • Conduct detailed insurance policy reviews, interpret coverage provisions, and advise clients on their rights and obligations.
  • Manage cases from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, as well as engaging in discovery and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies and provide ongoing updates on case progress.
  • Stay current with industry trends, legal developments, and changes in insurance laws to ensure effective representation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in insurance coverage and policy analysis, demonstrating a strong foundation in this area.
  • In-depth understanding of various insurance policies, laws, and principles of insurance policy interpretation.
  • Admission to practice in NJ and/or NY is required; PA admission is a plus.
  • Proven litigation experience, including case management through all phases in both state and federal courts.
  • Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdictions (NJ/NY; PA preferred).

Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
