Loan Processing Manager The candidate will manage loan processing staff to ensure policies, regulations and processing standards are being met. Will be responsible for the loan document preparation for the consumer, commercial, agricultural, and indirect loans for all banks and the upload of all loans to the core loan accounting system. Ensures the quality and quantity of loan documents meet company and regulatory standards. Responsible for timely completion of required training applicable to the position and regular and effective application of such training in the performance of the position. Manages loan processing staff assignments including Origenate application process. Hires, trains, and evaluates employees based on mutually agreed upon goals. Ensures that staff members are certified in and knowledgeable of required compliance/CRA regulations and are applied to day-to-day activities. Administrator for systems used by the bank and department which includes CMSI Origenate, LaserPro, CRA Relief and HMDA Relief. Manages software updates, tests software, sets specifications to banks requirements and trains employees on changes. Maintains software by making necessary entries to rates, rules, originators, and users. Researches problems and answers questions regarding loan processing, documentation and compliance. Researches changes in regulations and implements procedures to assure bankâ€™s compliance. Generates special transactions and maintenance to core loan accounting system for charged-off loans, deferred fees, nonaccrual loans and year end reporting. Reviews loan documentation preparation procedures for structure and format so that the companyâ€™s legal position is adequate. Ensures accurate preparation and perfection of collateral documentation is maintained. Prepares various management reports on loan operations. Supervises and performs dealer reserve accounting and remittance. Reconciles multiple bank accounts and general ledger accounts. Oversees the preparation and maintenance of procedures and policies for consumer/commercial/indirect loan processing. Performs other related tasks and duties as directed by management.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have High school graduate or equivalent. Associate Degree or Degree in Business, Paralegal Studies or Management preferred. Should have 3+ years experience to include a combination of: 1 year of supervisory experience, legal experience, and loan processing or loan operations experience. Must have the ability to manage personal finances. Must have knowledge of banking regulations and guidelines. Knowledge of compliance/CRA regulations required. Must have skill in operating PC, calculator and office machines.
