Legal Assistant
The candidate will maintain legal files in an electronic document management system. Prepare drafts of legal documents and correspondence. File business registrations and similar documents with appropriate state agencies. Oversee matter management system and master file list. File executed contracts and other metadata into the contract repository. Code legal invoices to the appropriate cost center and legal matter type. Maintain spreadsheets tracking legal expenses by matter type and prepare reports of legal expenses. Assist with other department responsibilities including gathering data and preparing summary reports, preparing drafts of presentations, coordinating and scheduling meetings as needed. Bachelors or Associates degree is essential. Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential. Should preferably have legal assistant experience. Associates degree in Paralegal Studies is needed. Should have experience with netdocuments or other document management software.
