Job Title: Litigation Associate Experience: 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation Job Description: As a Litigation Associate at Frantz Ward LLP, you will work closely with Senior Associates, Partners, and clients to address their ongoing legal needs. Your responsibilities will include representing clients in civil litigation matters before state and federal courts, developing and implementing strategies to protect clients' best interests, educating clients on potential claims and business risks, and assisting in the discovery and litigation processes. Responsibilities: - Represent clients in civil litigation matters before state and federal courts, in arbitrations, and mediations. - Develop and implement strategies to protect the best interests of the firm's clients. - Educate clients on potential claims and other business risks affecting the industry. - Assist in the discovery and litigation processes in pending matters. - Negotiate with outside parties on issues and legal disputes. - Research and analyze complex legal issues and writing briefs for submission to a supervising lawyer. - Participate in client meetings. - Communicate regularly with court personnel, clients, and opposing counsel. - Conduct discovery proceedings, including taking and defending depositions and document review and analysis.
