Must have the knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the legal function or department; ability to provide legal consulting, advice and assistance. Should have knowledge of and ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from both legal and factual information. Should have experience with fixed income derivatives and trading documentation. Experience supporting swap dealer sales and trading desks is required. Should have understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations, e.g., the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended by the Dodd-Frank Act and rules of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and National Futures Association. Must have experience with legal netting and margining, including maintenance of legal opinions and supporting memorandums. Experience with a variety of asset classes including interest rates, foreign exchange and commodities is required. Experience with ISDAs necessary; experience with MSFTAs and repos is a plus. Must have J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Should be currently licensed to practice in one or more states. Should have 8+ years of experience, with 5 years representing financial institutions in the swap dealer area. Should have demonstrated strong judgment, sound decision-making and solid legal analysis and oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with line of business managers and other attorneys is required. Should have knowledge of legislation, regulations and case law affecting practice area. Should have the ability to represent PNC effectively in interaction with external counsel for PNC and with counsel for representing other parties.
