Global Mobility Paralegal
Responsibilities: Draft applications under the new UK immigration system including Certificates of Sponsorship and related online forms. Provide consular application services, including coordinating visa applications and document legalization/authentication. Under the supervision of an attorney, assist with coordinating global immigration matters with our network of local counsel across the globe. Communicate clearly and effectively, based on attorney advice, on immigration benefits, government procedures, and case processing time lines. Assist multiple attorneys with meticulously tracking and reporting on visa expiration dates and filing deadlines. Maintain a high sense of urgency and commitment to meet deadlines while meeting client requirements. Adhere to strict delivery schedules and timelines to ensure timely delivery of services and work product.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent. Proven relevant experience working on global immigration matters, including consular processing and document legalization/authentication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required. Able to manage various priorities simultaneously in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Experience delivering client services in accordance with SLAs. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must possess a curiosity to learn new areas of the law and think creatively, as we seek to provide all team members with a diverse portfolio of immigration and mobility matters. Strong written and verbal English language communication skills, ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside parties such as filing vendors and personnel at jurisdictions of filing. Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm. Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative. Ability to anticipate needs of lawyers and paralegals. Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion. Exercise solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

There needs to be a focus on offering employees a varied work schedule. Management should work towards improving in the area of treating the support team with more respect.

Pros : The law firm offers a salary that is in the same area as other firms. The firm does pay attention to the office and its employees. Employees are shown recognition for what they do for the firm.
Cons : The law firm falls short in offering a varied work schedule for people who struggle with balancing work. The support team is not treated with the same respect as others.
