Senior Counsel Duties: Advise Firm lawyers on various Firm legal matters including but not limited to privilege, ethics issues, agreements, client matters, policy adherence, client terminations/withdrawals. Assist with risk management, particularly in the areas of privacy, state and federal regulatory compliance, vendor management, and data security. Assist with review, negotiation, and execution of Firm contracts. Assist with management of Firm litigation and work with outside counsel. Assist with response to subpoenas and similar requests for information/documents directed to the Firm. Assist Firm attorneys and Accounting Department with accounts receivables and collection efforts. Provide training to Firm lawyers and staff on legal topics. Assist with all other projects and special requests as needed.
Qualification and ExperienceQualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the United States. Must have 10 years of legal experience with strong knowledge of risk management, privacy, compliance, legal ethics, and loss prevention. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; must be able to articulate issues accurately, clearly, and succinctly. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are needed to address complex questions and issues. Must have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail-oriented; issue-tracking, follow-up, and resolution skills are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-driven environment and respond appropriately to shifting priorities. Must maintain confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive information. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
