Risk Management Patient Liaison The candidate plays an essential role in the OSF Cares Communication and Resolution Program (CRP), an approach that encourages the early disclosure of unanticipated care outcomes to affected patients and their family members. Proactively identifies the need for patient, family member and caregiver support and provides or connects patients, family members and caregivers with helpful services and resources. Collaborates with the attending physician and other members of the care team, with internal and external legal counsel and the regional Risk Manager and with hospital, HOD and MSG leaders, to resolve OSF Cares cases timely and in accord with the OSF Values of Compassion, Trust, Integrity, Stewardship and Employee Well-Being. Must have Bachelor’s degree in law, medicine, business, health care administration, decision science or a related field. Should preferably have 1-2 years of experience in HealthCare Risk Management or related field of Compliance. Risk Management certification preferred. Should have analytical skills to analyze internal and external data and to prepare and present reports based on the information. Must have organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases and issues throughout the Ministry.
