Commercial Real Estate/Business Transactions Paralegal The candidate will be coordinating due diligence for real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, etc. Will be working with title companies through issuance of policies. Working with clients, lenders, and other parties to complete necessary steps in the transaction process. Research and analysis of deeds, title policies/endorsements, tax liens, judgments, and UCC filings. Drafting and recording a variety of documents, including, deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc. Preparing and distributing closing binders and closing checklists and coordinating the closing process for various real estate transactions. Drafting and filing transactional documents, including entity formations, resolutions, dissolutions, minutes, name changes, etc. Performing litigation and business history searches. Creating and following internal checklists. Supervising clerical staff who assist with various tasks. Overseeing recording and monitoring deadlines through tracking systems. Performing other duties as required. Advanced title review, including, analysis and summary of title commitments, reports, abstracts, and surveys. Must have Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in paralegal or legal studies from regionally accredited college or university (exemplary experience may be substituted for this requirement). NALA Certification or NFPA Registration is highly desired, advanced certification in Real Estate is a bonus. Experience with business organizations transactions is a plus. Must have 5+ years transactional real estate experience with recent, heavy title and survey review experience in a law firm setting. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
