A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Bankruptcy, Receivership, and Creditor Remedies Associate Attorney to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in commercial litigation, with a focus on creditors' rights and remedies, receivership, bankruptcy, and commercial landlord/tenant matters. This role requires excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle commercial litigation matters involving creditors' rights and remedies, including secured creditor preference and related issues.
  • Manage and represent clients in receivership and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Address commercial landlord/tenant disputes and related litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advisories.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting bankruptcy and creditor remedies.
  • Assist in managing case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on bankruptcy, receivership, and creditor remedies.
  • Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply legal principles effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bankruptcy clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm is preferred.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
