Legal Assistant/Receptionist Duties: Support to assigned attorney(s), market areas, or projects by preparing and organizing files, facilitating immediate access of information by other offices through electronic imaging, answering incoming calls for the firm, serving as receptionist for the office, and other tasks as assigned. Review assigned attorney’s calendar daily and prepare for all meetings in accordance with the firm’s appointment preparation procedure. Meet with assigned attorneys after each client appointment so that they may download relevant information. Process information according to the firm’s procedures and specific instructions received from the attorney. Meet with clients of the firm to witness deliveries, facilitate the signing of funding documents, serve as notary, or other purposes as needed. Perform post-delivery processing of ensuring all witnesses and notary signatures are captured and documents are fully executed. Prepare continuing education presentation materials ensuring materials are accurate and complete. Attend continuing education presentations as needed and collect course materials from attendees. Perform additional work assignments based on needs of the firm and supervising attorney.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook; basic knowledge of Excel. Able and willing to work a flexible schedule ( Monday – Friday however may be asked to work late or come in early on occasion).Administrative background with clerical skills. Able to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
