IP Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the monthly processing of bills and coordination of bills with accounting department and other departments. Administrative tasks including processing mail, maintaining calendars, answering phones, opening new matters, running conflict checks, preparing engagement letters, travel arrangements, preparing check requests, etc. Assist Paralegals with administrative tasks, including Patent and Trademark letters to clients sending Original Patents and Trademarks; updating list of all patents issued to clients for marketing plaques.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. 3+ years of law firm experience required. Experience in Intellectual Property a plus. Excellent organizational skills and accuracy. Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed. Professional demeanor with an energetic attitude. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both individually and collaboratively to accomplish projects and meet tight deadlines. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while ensuring timely completion. Strong client service skills and the ability to follow client specific protocols. Strict attention to detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in FileSite and/or iManage, MSWord 2010, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Aderant and File Trail and Visio a plus.
