Job Overview: A prominent and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Partner with a minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience in labor and employment law. This role is ideal for a legal professional with strong leadership and management skills, who has handled complex employment litigation cases. The firm offers a flexible work arrangement, including remote and hybrid options, and candidates admitted to practice in California can work from any state where the firm has an office. Portable business will be considered but is not required.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, class actions, and PAGA cases
  • Supervise and lead multiple attorneys across various cases
  • Represent clients in investigations before government agencies such as the . Department of Labor, California Department of Industrial Relations, and the EEOC
  • Appear in federal and state courts for employment litigation matters
  • Provide strategic counsel and litigation management in complex labor and employment disputes

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of employment litigation experience, particularly in defense cases
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise a team of attorneys
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Experience with government agency investigations and hearings
  • Ability to handle high-stakes litigation in both federal and state courts
  • Portable business (preferred but not required)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar (required)

Skills:

  • Expertise in labor and employment law, including wage and hour matters and class actions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and supervise teams effectively
  • Leadership and mentorship abilities within a legal setting
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor regulations and litigation procedures
