A law firm in Columbia, SC is seeking a skilled and motivated Business and Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Bar admission and a strong background in business and commercial litigation. This role involves managing complex commercial disputes, providing strategic legal advice, and representing clients in various business-related legal matters. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the firm’s litigation team with a focus on client advocacy and case management.Duties and Responsibilities:Represent clients in business and commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, business torts, and partnership disputes.Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.Provide strategic legal advice to clients on various business-related legal issues.Develop and maintain case management plans, ensuring timely and effective progress.Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals to build strong case arguments.Stay updated on relevant legal trends, changes in statutes, and case law to ensure informed representation.Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and client service throughout the litigation process.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bar admission in South Carolina.Strong experience in business and commercial litigation, with a proven track record of handling complex cases.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Bar admission in South Carolina.Skills:Proficient in legal research and writing.Strong litigation and case management skills.Effective oral and written communication abilities.Ability to handle complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.Benefits Offered:Competitive salaryHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) planPaid Time Off (PTO)
