Legal Internship, Spring The legal intern conducts legal research and assists staff attorneys with technical assistance for prosecutors and allied criminal justice professionals. Research and synthesize the latest relevant case law and statutes, Produce and update law compilations. Cite-check and proofread documents. Research and update files on expert witnesses. Help prepare responses to technical assistance requests. Draft articles and contribute to legal publications. Attend conferences, trainings and/or meetings with coalition partners. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be 2L or 3L law student. Should have strong research, writing and legal analysis skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Interest and knowledge or experience in criminal justice is essential. Note: The unpaid internship positions are available on a full-time or part-time basis throughout the academic year and during the summer. Prefer that students work between 20-40 hours per week but are willing to accommodate students’ academic schedules. Application Deadline: October 15. Duration: January-May.
