Manager/VP, Real Estate and Finance Counsel The candidate will do direct activities of department, which provides complete legal services in acquisitions, real estate, financial, transactional, contractual, intellectual property and international areas for the American Fidelity Group and Cameron family related entities (collectively, American Fidelity Group - AFG). Includes devising strategies by which objectives can be obtained, determining proper structure for transactions, preparation of documentation, supervision and review of work product prepared by others, handling negotiations and orchestrating documentation, due diligence and closing processes to ensure that proper structure is maintained, legal pitfalls are avoided and associated risks and costs are minimized. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in law or business. License to practice law granted by the Oklahoma Bar Association. Should have 10 years of experience as lead counsel in practice devoted to sophisticated commercial transactions, acquisitions, financing, investments and other transactional work. Strong oral and written communication skills including outstanding interpersonal and consultative skills. Demonstration of a high level of administrative competence and excellence in analyzing organization procedures and maximum efficiency. Advanced knowledge of law and practice of real estate, financing, transactions and contracts, mergers and acquisitions. Ability to identify, analyze and solve legal problems. Strong drafting skills, communication skills and project organizational ability.
