Duties:
- Represent public school districts and educational institutions in litigation matters involving employment issues, tort claims, governance, and student affairs.
- Handle cases related to civil rights and constitutional law within the context of education.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on governance issues, educational policies, and student-related matters.
- Conduct legal research, and prepare briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
- Advocate for clients in court proceedings, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective legal strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of education law and related legal developments.
- Manage case documentation, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in Texas.
- Proven experience in litigation, especially in the areas of employment, torts, governance, and student issues.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analysis skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with experience in public speaking.
- Experience working with school districts or governmental entities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
