Claims Paralegal- The candidate under the direction of the Deputy General Counsel, serve as a principal claims contact and resource for the company’s underwriter, Premier Land Title Insurance Company (“Premier”), and agency operations doing business as PGP Title (“PGP”) in multiple states, and assist various outside underwriters in order to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and to minimize exposure arising from claims on policies issued by Premier and the other underwriters and claims on PGP arising from settlement services. Facilitate the maintenance and development of claims processes and procedures for Premier, including procedures for tracking and resolving claims from inception to conclusion. Assist in the claims administration process with claims made on outside underwriters. Assist Quality Assurance Department by providing assistance with the resolution of curative matters arising from internal audits and internal notifications on specific issues.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should be a licensed paralegal. Must have at least 5 years' relevant claims experience (10 years' experience preferred). High School Diploma is needed. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with others. Should have ability to analyze and resolve legal issues or complaints. Must have ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, and resolve issues on both strategic and functional levels.
