Manager, Indirect Supply Chain Contracts Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Contracts, Interior Systems, this position will be responsible for the drafting, organizing, and maintenance of contracts related to the procurement of related products and services in support of non-production spend within numerous commodities including Contract Labor, Contract Engineering, Engineering Services, IT/Telecommunications, HR Services, HR Benefits, HR Recruiting, MRO, Janitorial/Maintenance/Waste, Capital Projects, Leased Equipment, Industrial Equipment, Industrial Gas/Chemicals, Office Supplies, Uniforms, Utilities and Food Services, which in aggregate is roughly $150M in annual spend. Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts and other legal documents to meet the long-range quality, delivery and cost targets of non-production commodities and to ensure adherence to company policies, specifications, and good business practices. Craft special clauses and other terms/conditions as required; Provide advice to management on contract matters that may have significant adverse legal implications (i.e., contracts with non-standard or potentially high risk terms/conditions); provide guidance on contract matters to Supply Chain personnel and other operational staff; Advise management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compile and analyze dataand maintain historical information; Remain actively engaged with Supply Chain team and other operational staff Develop strong interfaces with Supply Chain staff and maintain close contact with appropriate levels of management as necessary to be effective as Manager, Indirect Supply Chain Contracts; Coordinate resolution of contract issues internally and with external customers; Ensure appropriate internal approvals and signature authorities are followed in the contract review and approval process; Prepare and coordinate business correspondence; and maintain accurate and complete contract files and records for the company in accordance with policies and procedures; Ensure contract management activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and customer requirements; Maintain contractual records and documentation and control of all contract correspondence in the contract management system; Ensure communications are maintained for timely contract execution by the parties. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contracting principles and all contract types. Excellent contract drafting skills and demonstrated experience in contract administration for indirect procurement categories. Sound understanding of business agreements and general business practices. Strong business acumen, problem solving abilities, and good judgment. Excellent oral/written communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Preferred qualification: Juris Doctor degree(J.D.) or MBA, a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint a plus. Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM).
