Location:

  • Marietta, GA

Duties:

  • Develop and execute client legal strategies while overseeing the team of paralegals to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
  • Take full responsibility for assigned cases, including communication with clients and other counsel, reviewing pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for and attending court hearings, conferences, and trials.
  • Handle multiple depositions, temporary hearings, mediations, and final trials (preferred but not required).
  • Draft or supervise the drafting of interrogatory answers and other legal documents.
  • Manage cases for clients with a net worth over $1 million or annual earnings of $250,000 or more.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and provide the highest quality client service throughout the case lifecycle.
  • Engage with clients from initial intake to case resolution while creating a positive client experience.
  • Participate in firm-wide efforts to grow and build upon the firm’s strong reputation.

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice law in Georgia.
  • Significant experience in family law is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex case management, including depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to embody the firm’s core values of compassion, competence, and communication.
  • Strong ethical standards with a commitment to providing high-quality legal service.
  • Capacity for continuous learning and professional development.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Georgia Bar.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia.

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, with experience handling high-net-worth and high-income clients.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in case management and legal document preparation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Emotional intelligence (EQ) to match intellectual capacity (IQ).
