Profile

Deputy General Counsel
The candidate will work with and assist the General Counsel in providing mentorship, supervision, guidance and direction to the Bureau’s staff of Assistant Attorneys General. Should have experience in a wide-range of practice areas such as: Federal, State, and administrative litigation, finance, insurance, public employment and, construction. Experience with diversity issues, government contracting and procurement and/or collective bargaining would be beneficial. Should have backgrounds and knowledge sufficient to assume supervisory and/or primary responsibility for legal matters involving the Toll Highway Authority. Should be prepared to demonstrate strong legal writing and researching capabilities, as well as outstanding oral communication skills. Must be licensed in Illinois at the time of application. A minimum of 15 years post-graduate legal experience is required.
