An esteemed law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Real Estate and Environmental Services Team. This role provides an opportunity to handle diverse environmental matters within a collaborative legal environment, focusing on regulatory compliance, litigation, transactional support, and policy advisement.

Location

Duties

• Provide legal counsel on environmental compliance, including site remediation, waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharges, and chemical regulations

• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda

• Assist with transactional due diligence

• Support environmental litigation cases

• Liaise with government agencies on compliance and permitting matters

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental law, covering regulatory, litigation, transactional, and policy aspects

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan

• Preferred office location should be indicated in the cover letter

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Michigan
