A respected law firm in White Plains, NY, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Matrimonial Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will possess 7-10 years of hands-on experience in matrimonial law and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and to represent clients in a variety of matrimonial matters, including divorce, custody, and child support.
Duties:
- Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and other family law matters in Supreme Court, Family Court, and related proceedings.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs.
- Manage cases through the litigation cycle, develop cost-effective strategies, and ensure timely progress.
- Make appearances in various courts across the tri-state area.
- Maintain a high caseload while effectively managing priorities and deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to support client needs.
- Regularly communicate with clients, adversaries, court staff, and witnesses.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant changes in matrimonial and family law.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in matrimonial law or a related field.
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York State Bar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a large volume of cases and court appearances.
- Proven organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience representing clients in family law matters, particularly in Supreme Court and Family Court.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- New York State Bar Admission.
