Duties:

• Represent clients in various civil litigation matters, primarily focusing on insurance defense cases
• Manage all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and post-trial proceedings
• Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Engage in legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation processes
• Prepare and deliver compelling arguments during the trial
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case strategies and team initiatives
• Maintain case files and ensure all deadlines are met
• Build and foster relationships with clients, adjusting strategies to their needs

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and strategies
• Proven experience with legal research, writing, and client communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple caseloads
• A strong track record of successful trial outcomes

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois

Skills:
