Legal Assistant The candidate will prepare and manage correspondence. Prepare and process standard legal documents; organize and coordinate legal meetings. Maintain schedules and calendars including court diaries. Take, type and distribute dictation. Draft, proofread and edit legal documents and pleadings. Set up and maintain databases and files. Handle incoming mail and calls.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a College degree or Paralegal Degree or Equivalent. 1 year experience as legal assistant. General proficiency with computers and office technology. Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills. Knowledge of the legal field. Including administrative and clerical procedures. Transcription and typing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Word processing and IT skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Organization skills. The ability to implement critical thinking and problem solving. Ability to file legal pleadings. Preparation of Appellate documents. Average work week will consist of 30 - 40 hours per week.
