Employment Law Paralegal The candidate: Serves as the law department liaison to internal business clients, outside counsel, opposing counsel, and third parties to coordinate the collection, organization, review, preparation, and responses to discovery requests and other documents in employment related litigation matters. Serves as the law department liaison to internal business clients, government agencies, and other third parties to coordinate the collection, organization, review, preparation, and responses to EEOC, DOL, and other employment-related government agency charges, inquiries, or investigations. Coordinates with internal business clients and third parties to prepare and coordinate litigation holds upon receiving notice of potential employment related litigation matters. Coordinates with internal business clients and third parties to prepare responses to subpoenas, requests for information, and garnishments in employment related matters. Assists in preparing complex employment-related documents and agreements, and monitors applicable deadlines relating to the same (e.g., settlement agreements, separation agreements, release agreements, non-compete agreements). Assists in preparing internal employment-related policy documents, and monitors applicable approval deadlines (e.g., regional or global employment policy documents). Conducts legal research on various labor and employment matters and prepares summaries of legal authority found in case law, statutes, regulations, treatises, and articles. Prepares, develops, and maintains employment related reports by coordinating with internal business clients and outside counsel. Routinely reviews and follows-up on deadlines, calendar appointments, billing matters, attorney CLE requirements, and other related administrative tasks. Serves as the law department liaison for service of process for litigation related matters and coordinates with GC to assign litigation matters to appropriate attorney. Consistently and professionally communicates with internal business clients, outside counsel, opposing counsel, and government entities as a representative of the Law Department. Must have 5+ years of experience. Paralegal Certification is essential.
