Senior Risk Analyst Duties: Responsible for analytical activities, which encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities pertaining to the timely and accurate review of legal agreements, addendums, and contracts as well as RFPs and RFQs for new and existing business partners. Will help manage internal business and insurance compliance and risks for business opportunities to include sales agreements, professional service agreements, property leases and vendor contracts. Understands the business opportunities/engagements presented, identifies risks associated with those opportunities/engagements, and works in tandem with Sales and Legal to approve and/or recommend changes to mitigate those risks. Will work with pricing, insurance procurement and brokers to assist in the facilitation of field requests for additional levels of cover, the placement of stand-alone policies, or additional levels of cover apart from current corporate insurance structure, and will provide support to build awareness within the Risk Management department and provide alternative solutions. Review and analyze all agreements, addendum, leases, and contracts for Corporate, FMS as well as SCS and DTS. Participate on internal/external conference calls to convey inherent insurance business risks and offer solutions. Work with pricing in developing incremental costs for coverage limits sought beyond company standards. Facilitate the placement of stand-alone policies or additional levels of cover with the Insurance Procurement team. Assist Insurance Operations with contract changes for lease and rental customers to ensure compliance for company sponsored programs. Collaborate with Insurance Procurement, Insurance Operations and Risk Management with ongoing/new initiatives.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 5+ years of experience in the property and casualty insurance field with proven experience in contractual compliance review for all lines of coverage or acting in the capacity of a paralegal. Strong communication skills both orally and written, excellent time management skills, works well under pressure and has the ability to adapt to change in an evolving insurance market. Forward thinker, works autonomously, problem solver, and ability to interact with all levels of management throughout the entire organization as well as with brokers, insurers, and customers. Intermediate computer skills; good understanding of all levels of insurance and its applicability to contract terms and conditions; good understanding of legal terms specifically as it pertains to indemnification; excellent transferable skills. Insurance designation or paralegal certification preferred.
