Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Rochester, NY, is seeking a skilled attorney with 3-7 years of experience to join its healthcare and human services practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare regulations, corporate governance, and compliance, with a focus on hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and related entities.
Duties:
Provide legal counsel on regulatory, corporate, and governance matters for healthcare entities, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, adult care facilities, diagnostic and treatment centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and home health agencies.
Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations involving healthcare providers and physician practices.
Address healthcare provider licensure issues and navigate state and federal regulatory audits and investigations.
Advise not-for-profit healthcare organizations on legal matters.
Develop and implement corporate compliance programs, including state and federal self-disclosures.
Counsel clients on core areas such as Fraud and Abuse, Anti-Kickback statutes, Stark Law, HIPAA, and telemedicine regulations.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
3-7 years of experience in healthcare law, with a focus on regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for client service and business development.
