ProfileAssistant General Counsel The candidate will provide professional legal advice, counsel, support and guidance to business operations, focused on the regulatory interests of the company as related to its renewable and thermal generation portfolio. Support activities by rendering legal advice to the Companyâ€™s development and operations teams and will have substantial prior experience with state and/or federal regulatory matters, including representation around electric and/or gas issues before a state public utility commission and/or the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; have experience with preparing briefs, motions, case evaluation summaries and other documents as required by the nature of a case, preparing witnesses for testimony, conducting trials in state, federal and/or administrative courts, and preparing filings before FERC and/or state public utility commissions and other government bodies related to project purchase and sale, financing or other project and/or corporate matters; support development, legal, finance, operations and other departments with responding to discrete questions regarding interconnection, transmission and other regulatory matters; and assist with other general legal matters and various corporate transactions as they arise, and other matters of interest to the company. Should have JD degree. 5-7 years of relevant experience required. Should have experience in the areas of FERC and state-level regulatory.
