ProfileAssociate Attorney - Real Estate Duties: Provide legal guidance and support. Perform all aspects of litigation including extensive legal research and writing Perform title searches, updates, recordings and filings Perform legal research (court records, real estate records, asset/ lien/ UCC/ background checks). Abstract counties records for residential and commercial properties in multiple counties. Abstract, examine and analyze deeds, easements, tax assessments, mineral reservations and other applicable instruments. Verify ownership and encumbrances of real property. Ability to manage loan closing files. Prepare abstract leases. Read surveys, plats, deeds, estate records and foreclosure proceedings. Perform closings as needed. Draft and review corporate, organizational and commercial documents including construction contracts. Prepare closing binders and post-closing work. Assist on special projects (in other practice areas). Coordinate contract execution process. Confirm contract reporting is accurate and all required information is correct. Cooperate with title agents for closing of real estate sales. Communicate with sales office staff.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree. Member of Florida Bar in good standing. Experience with real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, title documents, surveys & leases. Experience preparing closing disclosures, HUD and closing documents. MS Office Proficiency; Outlook, Word, Excel. Exceptional organizational skills. Able to work independently and in team setting. Ability to handle pressure with superb follow up and problem solving skills.
