Legal Assistant Duties: Drafting, proofreading & editing documents Maintaining attorney calendars & case timetable/deadlines. Opening, maintaining and closing client files Document scanning & electronic document management. Photocopying & document filling Client database maintenance. Administrative support for multiple attorneys. Entering attorney time Internet researching Florida & Federal e-filling. Setting up and assisting with hearings, client meetings, depositions, phone conferences, lunches etc. Answering phones.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: High School degree required. 2-5 years of Florida Civil Litigation experience. Will have experience in High Volume Insurance Defense, Complex Commercial Litigation and Class Action cases. Highly organized, self-motivated and detail oriented. Ability to multi-task and prioritize Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure with great attention to detail Work efficiently in a team environment. Proficiency Required In: E-Filling in Florida’s E-Portal PACER / Westlaw Microsoft Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Experience with Time Matters and CaseMap a plus.
