# Consumer Protection Litigation and Compliance Associate

## Industry: Consumer Protection

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking an associate with three to six years of litigation experience to join their growing team in their New York office. This position is not open to search firms at the moment.

## Requirements

- Three to six years of experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Ability to be a self-starter who is eager and curious to learn new topic areas quickly and can work independently as well as be part of a collaborative team
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work proactively to develop creative solutions in order to meet client and team needs
- Enthusiasm for working in a team environment

## Preferred Qualifications

- Demonstrated consumer class action experience
- Experience with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, state mini-TCPA laws, and automatic renewal laws
- Experience in other complex litigation areas, including consumer protection, unfair competition, and false and deceptive advertising
- Familiarity with investigations and proceedings initiated by the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other federal and state regulatory agencies
- Hands-on litigation experience

The base annual pay range for this role is between $240,000 - $330,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, and location and will also take into account internal equity.
