Paralegal I – Spanish Speaking Responsibilities: Talk with a substantial number of low-income persons walking into the law office, and calling on the phone, seeking legal assistance. Provide clerical and legal administrative support to the team; prepare pleadings, correspondence and documents using Microsoft Word; copy documents; scan documents to PDF file format; file motions; maintain client files in a confidential and well-organized manner; conduct investigations and interviews; perform data entry of client statistical information; receive all visitors and answer phones; and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Spanish speaking and writing, Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree or certificate program in paralegal studies; knowledge of legal terminology and legal communication principles and practices; familiar with local, state and federal laws and regulations; good grammar and proofreading skills; Microsoft Word proficiency and relevant computer software knowledge and experience; and excellent client service skills.
